Intelligent Compression

Intelligent COMPRESSION guards provide enhanced protection to the player by spreading the initial impact shock to the outer edges of the guard, before a three stage progressive compression gradually absorbs the rest of the impact:

Stage 1: Initial Impact
On initial impact, the smooth solid outer shell efficiently spreads the shock to the outer edges, and away from the wearer's leg.

Stage 2: Cavity Compression
Once the initial impact has been dispersed, the outer shell compresses into the EVA foam backing, closing the air cavity between the shell and the EVA, gradually absorbing the force of the impact.

Stage 3: Structural Compression
Under heavy impact the Geodesic Structure on the reverse of the shell progressively interacts with the EVA foam backing, acting as a dampener and absorbing the remaining energy of the impact.

Speedstud

The Mitre speedstud is proven to give the wearer improved running acceleration speeds of up to 40% compared with a standard round stud.

Developed by Mitre and tested by the Imperial College, London, the speedstud has a unique pyramid shape with a flat edge perpendicular to the toes, providing better grip and a starting block platform for the player to push off from when beginning to run. This improves the traction between the boot and the ground, in turn making you accelerate at a faster rate.

The speedstud is particularly effective in soft ground conditions, where traction is difficult to obtain.

Finger Protection

Mitre's finger protection spine provides goalkeepers with increased finger stability by giving a flexible yet protective barrier between the fingers and the ball, resulting in fewer injuries and more confident saving.
