Founded in 1908 the club's home matches are played at the Galpharm Stadium and they are currently in Football League 1. Mitre is the official kit, training and bench wear supplier to Huddersfield Town Football Club.

Mitre has strong links with the town; the company was founded in Huddersfield in 1817 and enjoys a rich footballing heritage. The deal with Huddersfield Town was a homecoming for both club and the brand - Mitre was kit supplier to the Terriers for the 1999/00 and 2000/01 seasons.
