Ian Joyce

Ian played high school soccer at Don Bosco Prepartory High School in Ramsey, New Jersey.

Southend United completed the signing of goalkeeper Ian Joyce on a free transfer in July 2008.

Ian was released by Championship side Watford and put pen to paper on a one year contract, which he has since extended for another year.

Ian made his debut for Southend United in 2008, against Crewe Alexandra in a 4-3 win; he stepped in for the injured Steve Mildenhall.

He also came on as a half-time sub in Southend's 3–1 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on 10 March 2009, after Steve Mildenhall sustained a minor knee injury. Joyce also started Southend's next game, in the 1–0 victory against Hereford United on 14 March.
