El Salvador Closer to World Cup Qualification

El Salvador National Team moved a step closer to world cup qualification on Saturday 6th June 2009, after beating their arch rivals Mexico in a surprise 2-1 victory at the Cuscatlán stadium in El Salvador.

It was a proud moment for Mitre, watching over a sea of blue and white as 40,000 screaming fans were all wearing the Mitre jersey to support their national team.

El Salvador’s next qualification match is against Honduras on Wednesday, June 10th, who have already been beaten by the USA.
