El Salvador sign Mitre as their twelfth man

El Salvador and Mitre have announced a new partnership that will see them supply the Central America national football team with home and away kits, training, and bench wear until August 2010. Mitre, and their Panamanian partner, The Harari Group, have designed the kit that El Salvador hope will take them to the FIFA World Cup 2010 in South Africa.

The kit will be showcased by the team on Wednesday, February 11th as they start their FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign against Trinidad & Tobago in the CONCACAF (Central-American Football Union) Hexagonal Cup. The top two teams from this campaign will make it to South Africa. El Salvador joins Mitre's current kit supplying portfolio which includes English Football League sides Ipswich Town and Huddersfield Town, as well as domestic teams in South Africa with Moroka Swallows, Ionikos FC in Greece, Mito Hollyhocks in Japan and Mechelen FC in Belgium among others.

This new partnership further demonstrates that although steeped in British history, Mitre's appeal is on a global scale. We wish the El Salvador national team all the best in their World Cup campaign and hope to see them representing the Mitre brand at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
