Mark Schwarzer Joins Mitre

Mitre has signed a 2 year sponsorship contract with number one Australian and Fulham goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer. The deal will see Mitre supply Schwarzer with goal keeping gloves and football boots until July 2011.

Schwarzer is currently at the top of his game, playing a huge part in securing Australia’s qualification to the 2010 South Africa World Cup and has recently been honoured with prestigious accolades of Australian Player of the Year and Australia Media Choice Player of the Year.

Mitre has worked in collaboration with the goalkeeper to develop him his ideal glove and boot and both will feature his name.

Mark said “I am thrilled to be part of the Mitre family, they have a great tradition in football and I look forward to working with them over the next two years. I have enjoyed working closely with their design and technical teams on these fantastic goalkeepers gloves and football boots, I have never had a pair of boots with my name and signature on, they are superb’’.
