Mark Schwarzer rewarded for his great year.

Mark Schwarzer was awarded Football Australia’s Player of the Year and also voted Player of the Year by his fellow players at the Australian Football Awards. He received 392 votes to narrowly beat Everton's Tim Cahill to the players' award.

Mark International Career has spanned over 17 years, and has been a consistent performer for both club and Country.

Schwarzer had another fantastic season with Fulham FC where he made a total of 54 appearances which included 37 in the English Premier League, 5 in the FA Cup and a fantastic 12 match run in the inaugural Europa League where he helped lead Fulham to the final against Atletico Madrid.

On the international stage, Schwarzer made 10 appearances in the past year and was a key member of the National Team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Mark played every minute of every Australian match during the tournament. Apart from being the Qantas Socceroo with the longest international playing career, Schwarzer also has the third highest number of A-International caps for the team and the most number of clean-sheets of any Australian goalkeeper.
