Mitre launch Venturi Netball for Co-operative Superleague

Mitre has unveiled another innovative new Netball, the Mitre Venturi, on the 23rd October 2008, in line with the start of a new season for the UK's domestic netball competition, the Co-operative Superleague.

Following on from Mitre's launch of their newly designed Netball Venturi range earlier in the year to England's National team, Mitre have developed a dual branded ball, incorporating the Co-operatives logo and corporate colours.

The Venturi combines new nano grip technology rubber compound and positive grip emboss, meaning the ball is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, making it the ball for the world's best netballers.

The Co-operative Superleague opening tie was between last season's league runners-up Team Northumbria and home team Northern Thunder. This thrilling encounter finished with Northern Thunder narrowly defeated by 51-49. Now just a few games into the campaign, the season is hotting up already with the three main contenders from last year, Loughborough Lightning, Team Bath and Team Northumbria all up there again fighting it out in a three way tussle for the Co-Operative Super League title!
