Mitre's Tom Homer Inspires England U20s to Win with Impressive Debut Performance

England's ambitious Under 20 side ran in four tries to beat Wales away at Gloucester on Friday 13th February.

England showed ambition epitomised by rookie full back Tom Homer (London Irish), who set the tone for the night with a stunning burst of speed from deep in the opening minutes.

Homer, who scored two tries on his debut for London Irish this season, was a revelation in a new full back role.

Number eight Chris York (Harlequins), centre Henry Trinder (Gloucester), captain Calum Clark (Leeds Carnegie) and fly half Rob Miller all touched down at Bridgend with Miller adding four conversions in the 28-16 victory.

England Coach Mark Mapletoft stated: "We did show ambition from the start when Tom Homer showed how up for it he was. As far as I'm aware he hasn't played at full back before but his positional work, aerial skills and desire to play epitomised everything about us as a team.
